⭐: I have an entire separate document keeping track of the SQUIP's point of view. Otherwise, like Jeremy, I would have no idea what the hell is going on. I still haven't decided how much I need to exposit for the plot to make sense versus how much I should leave up to the readers' imaginations. I may or may not give Rich's SQUIP another monologue to get it out of the way for me, but that depends on vibes when I get there.
⭐: I tried to record myself reading the fic once - or at least the Marley dance chapter. That's my favorite. I feel like it sums up a lot of what the fic is supposed to be (without any of that apocalypse nonsense) and may even be accessible for a non-BMC fan to read with minimal exposition first. It's also the part of the fic that would be most fun to mess around with Garage Band and Audacity effects. Sadly, 20 minutes in, this is how I discovered that my microphone was busted.
⭐: I have a little wizard plushie that I bought solely because it reminded me of the Installation Wizard. Someday I will make a little computer cursor out of felt and put it on his staff.
