That voice… It was one of the three Taranza’s but it sounded… hostile.
All nine of the floating mice turned to face the other, confirming their suspicions. The eight smaller ones backed off, but the last one, just slightly larger, stood,er, floated? his ground.
“And why do you care about that dinky thing so much?”
He was trying to sound all tough, but his voice was laced with fear. In his current state, he’d be in trouble if he got in a fight…
Taranza DX drifted closer to the group, a slightly giddy feeling taking hold of him. Are they intimidated? Lovely! This should make matters more interesting. If he’s lucky, however, this could be resolved rather... simply.
There was a noticeable lack of his battleaxe. Perhaps his main intention isn’t to fight?
He clapped a pair of hands together, retaining that same, sweet smile.
“To be honest, Daroach, the pendant itself isn’t important to me. Rather... the problem is that you got away with it. While I was trying to keep everything under control. Some guests don’t have any manners, do they?”
The mage sighed. Underlying anger almost made him feel compelled to let magic loose then and there, but if there’s anything he needs to keep under control, it’s himself.
Problems could arise if he acted without thinking. Besides, retrieval was his main goal right now. Not a battle.
“Nevertheless, I shall offer you an easy way out: Give it to me. Do this, and there shall be no further repercussions.”
