Harry Potter Number One Squib Supporter
I just imagine future Harry being like one of the strongest supporters for squib rights because he is so familiar with what it means to be locked out of your magical heritage. Every summer that he went back to the Dursley’s he was swept away from the magical world and literally wasn’t allowed to talk about anything that was magic related. In Chamber of Secrets, the Dursleys literally locked all of Harry’s stuff up because he specifically says that he couldn’t do any of the homework that was due because they locked his trunk up. And when the Weasleys rescue him Fred and George have to unlock his belongings. It is very similar to what happens to Squibs in this world. They are taken from their homes, their heritage, and they are disowned by their families and looked down upon. That separation is something that I think Harry would have felt and he would have wanted to do something about. Squibs, as I’ve read in other posts could have completed many of the classes at Hogwarts without the use of magic, but are instead discounted as worthless. Yeah, imagine Harry James Potter, savior of the wizarding world, and the number one supporter of squib rights.
