Could we get some head canons about how the hicks would confess their feelings for reader?

WAYNE:

Wayne is a very upfront person, he's bold and things like this normally don't scare him.

But for some reason asking you out had been one of the hardest things he ever attempted.

He would bail out halfway through speaking.

And abort.

It was something about your eyes.

They were so pretty that they made him go crazy.

He always tried this nice practiced thing but eventually gave up and just asked, "can I make you dinner tonight?"

And that was enough for you.

Because you already knew how much he cared by the simple way that he really listened when you spoke.

DAN:

Dan can be an over-thinker.

But in a way that just means he wants to impress you.

He would want to tell you how much he adored you in a super romantic way.

Even though, you would've been happy with a kiss and a "I really like you."

But you would never tell him that, and invalidate all the hard work he'd done to impress you.

He set up a romantic dinner, and wore a nice shirt with no plaid.

And just, word vomited all his feelings for you.

And it would be the sweetest thing ever.

DARYL:

Daryl wouldn't.

You can't convince me that he would make the first move.

It would have to be you who told him that you were sweet on him.

I'd imagine that when the two of you were alone at the produce stand, Daryl would be struggling to make conversation.

And you were going to find out if he liked you, or if he hated you.

You backed him into a metaphorical corner and say "do you hate me Daryl"

And he would turn into a stuttering mess.

Trying to explain that he didn't, without giving too much of his feelings away.

But once you caught onto his feelings, you would sit on his lap and kiss him.

And you'd keep kissing him until he was calm again.

You'd both have this big goofy grins when you pulled away.

And even when Wayne returned, Daryl kept a hold on ya, because he wanted you to stay on his lap.

KATY:

This one is hard to elaborate on.

Because when Katy became interested in you, she just came over and asked you out.

But the first time she told you she loved you?

A different story.

She was terrified.

Scared she would put that love out and not get it back. Or maybe scare you away because she could be pretty intense.

You were the softness that she was lacking.

And she didn't want to lose you.

But one day she saw you just looking so. friggin. cute.

And she blurted it out.

And she smiled when you smiled.

And of course you said it back.

My guess is the reason why Marié Fred is back is because Wayne asked her to give the ring back so he can give it to Rosie
