I haven't written anything in like two days 😭😭

And weirdly... it doesn't feel good.

When I was updating daily, there was definitely pressure to keep up. But my brain was also in full goblin mode. Hyperfixated. Constantly thinking about the fic. Even on days I didn't feel like writing, I still wrote because my brain was already there.

Now I've taken two days off and all momentum is gone. Zero motivation. My brain has apparently decided that if we're not writing, we're doing absolutely nothing. 😭

The only things I've accomplished are binge-watching Bertie Carvel series and drawing the Darry brothers with Jayne. Yay!

Someone please kick my writer brain back into gear.

Darry after Ponyboy ran away

I occasionally remember the ages of all the outsiders characters, then get sad. Wdym Darrel was only twenty when he had to become the legal guardian of his two kid brothers because his parents died getting frosting for his birthday cake. Wdym Sodapop was only sixteen when he found out the girl he planned to marry was pregnant with someone else's baby, the same week his little brother and one of his closest friends were on the run for killing a man. Wdym Ponyboy was only fourteen (and one month) when he had to witness the death of three different people, including two of his closest friends, then have survivor's guilt for the rest of his life.
