G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S.

After three years of putting it off and saying “Maybe next year” I have decided to register and participate in G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S this year. I have made a team in hopes of convincing my friends to join me.  If you don’t know what GISHWHES is then allow me to allow their website to explain here.  If you are too lazy to click the link, it’s basically a week long art project/scavenger hunt/awesome time. Hosted by Misha Collins (I think he was in a McDonald's commercial once?) all for Random Acts ( read about them here ) 

Point being, you shouldn’t miss out on this, and should register if you can here. And if you are not on a team you should join my team (SquirrelGammaRay) cause my friends are lame and haven’t joined me yet.

If You Can't Succeed at Getting the Paint Out of Your Hair... Try Again

Definition of a Paint Party:                                                                        

Running around a crowd of sweaty college students while trying to smear paint on every part of their body.                                                                  

One Rule of Paint Party Educate:                                                                

Grabbing other people's body parts is a form of greeting, it's not molestation.

For our adventure this weekend we went to a Paint Party. I thought that a paint party was going to be like a eight year old's birthday party. I did not know it involved black lights and scantily clad people. As you can tell from my description, it was very enjoyable. 

Pro Tip:

If your hair feels overly greasy after attending a Paint Party, don't panic. The disgusting waxy sensation you feel is normal. Also, if a random dude starts to dance behind you and you don't want him there, make sure you have a friend that will not mistaken your plea for help.

Mega Con 2013

Since just about everyone in our group is interested in some sort of media nerdiness, we all decided that it would be beneficial for our inner fangirls and fanboy to venture off to Orlando to see if anyone else was as "special" as we were. Plans were made months in advance, money was saved, and parents (most of them anyways), were informed that their precious children were venturing to a place were it is easy to find a plethora of comics, sci-fi fanatics, anime, and the dreaded band of rainbow colored "Bronies". 

The convention proved to be as sparkly and magical as the con-virgins in the group dreamed it to be. However, the most memorable moments occured in the hotel room. Lets just say that when denied entrance to a rave, make stupid you tube videos. 

Overall the convention ran smoothly. There was only one hitch that occurred when we left the convention. Apparently some GPS' like to tell their owners that gas stations that were bulldozed into oblivion are still in existance. Let me just say that I am extremely sorry for my use of language and I have reflected on my actions.
