Indian Origin Ex-Singapore Prsident SR Nathan passes away

Indian-origin former Singapore President S R Nathan, who passed away on Monday night, will be given a state funeral on Friday, the Prime Minister’s Office said in Singapore.

SR Nathan was of Indian origin, who rose to the highest office of the country.

As a mark of respect to the 92-year-old Nathan, the State flag on all government buildings will be flown at half-mast till Friday.

भारतीय मूल के सिंगापुर के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति ‘एसआर नाथन’ का निधन

भारतीय मूल के सिंगापुर के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति एसआर नाथन का आज एक अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। उन्हें 31 जुलाई को दिल का दौरा पड़ा था।

एस आर नाथन भारतीय मूल के थे।

प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय ने एक बयान में बताया कि अनुभवी लोकसेवक नाथन 92 का सिंगापुर जनरल हॉस्पिटल में निधन हुआ।

वह देश के संस्थापक नेता ली कुआन यीव से करीबी रूप से जुड़े हुए थे। उनके परिवार में उनकी पत्नी, बेटी, बेटा और तीन पोते पोतियां हैं।
