Ever since the cape cladded hero reared his head, joining this adventure you and Link had been pushed into, you two had clashed at every crossroads.
You knew Link idolized the hero, ‘Time’ as your friend had deemed him, but that did nothing to stop you from growing a disdain for him. Link had tried to reason with you, tried to explain away the man’s horrible treatment of him with a sad story as if that was a good excuse to be down right nasty to him. This frankly did nothing to stop you from matching the Hero’s energy whenever he decided to crawl out of the Medallion.
It wasnt like you were the only one who saw it either! You’d catch Sky and Time having hushed arguments after a particularly harsh ‘scolding’ the latter gave to your friend before stopping when they noticed you watching. Even Link, who puts the damn man on a pedestal, would grumble under his breath when the hero walked away.
Yet you were the only one who seemed to actively fight him when a judgement call was made.
Like right now!
“You speak with such authority for someone who’s only recently learned where the tip of a sword was.” The man scoffed, looking down at you.
Time leant on a boulder, staring at you with his usual grouchy glare, it took all of your self control not to roll your eyes into the back of your skull. You and Link had been asked by a local village to deal with a monter camp, which you had easily accepted while Link…was less eager. It had been going smoothly up until not. Link was scouting with Sky, using the forest and rocky cliffs to get a good outlook on the situation while you and Time were meant to strategize based on the information given by the village.
Clearly it was going swell.
“At least my enemies never had to worry about my nose poking their eye out, speaking of which- do you have another statue somewhere? I'm certain the people around would LOVE to get that eyesore out of their village.”
“You little–!”
“Enough!” Sky called, appearing from the brush and stepping between you two with a bewildered look. “At this rate we might as well let the towns guard deal with the monster camp! You two are getting nowhere.”
“We’d get more done if-”
Raising his hand to stop you, Sky gives you a hard look. “Enough. Go find Link, he’ll fill you in on what we saw.”
Holding his gaze for a moment, you curse to yourself before turning and kicking a rock, going to find Link.
“Oh yes, leave the children to themselves. Surely this will only end well.”
“Time, you need to–”
Sky watches as something small and grey is whipped at the Time, phasing through his ghostly body with a yellow shimmer and hitting the ground behind him with the thud. Both heroes blinked for a moment before looking in your direction. You had clearly thrown something considering your posture but didnt give either of them an explanation as you stomped away.
“...Did they just?” Time looks behind him.
“Throw a rock at you? Yes, yes they did.” Sky confirms with a sigh, rubbing his face.

Okay I can honestly see this dude going two ways with how he reacts/handles having a shy s/o! But either way he does love and care for you, your more reserved nature would never change that!
I can see him being someone who would try to get you a little more out of your comfort zone (whether that be with social interactions, speaking up for yourself, or just being out in public!) near the beginning of your relationship as a way to get you more comfortable in said situations
Both in life and death he would often find himself in very...extroverted circles and wants you to be as comfortable as possible considering you might be around those circles quite a bit!
Now, as you two grow in your relationship and he comes to realize, or you tell him, that his actions weren't helping and just making you even more uncomfortable he quickly stops them
he isn't the best with words, so his verbal apology might seem a bit off putting, but he tries to best to make it up to you! (whether that be in gifts, quality time, or making sure that you're alright in whatever situation you two are in!)
BUT i can also see him as the sort of guy who, if he was aware of your shy nature before dating, wouldn't care that much at all! If anything he finds it rather endearing, making you less of a headache to be around :3 /j
He understands that you're naturally more revered and respects it. The hero of Time isn't actually the most outgoing person either, so it would be a TAD hypocritical for him to judge you on such a trait!

Time honestly, but secretly, really likes when you stand by his side-or more like hide by his side! He subtlety broaden his shoulders to cover you when you find yourself inching behind the might hero while you two are in a social interaction that leaves you tired or anxious
This tall, grumpy ass man gets a little giddy, and proud, if you grab onto his cloak to keep him close!
Lets you play with his hand if you're anxious and can't leave, will glare at ANYONE who makes a comment about it LMAO
Wild had pictures of Time looming behind you, VERY INTIMIDATINGLY, whilst you quietly spoke to a shopkeeper! The owner couldn't see the hero, but his mere presence was enough to make the owner turn ghost white!

Oh, did they mess up your order and you don't want to bother them again? First, you wouldn't be bothering them it is quite literally their job. Second! Time is already halfway towards the tavern's counter with your incorrect meal in hand -3-
Will NOT tolerate people making fun or joking about your shy nature. He doesn't care if its one of the other heroes or a living person, he can and WILL put them in their place one way or another.
OH OH!! Time is also totally the type of lover who would encourage you to take the lead in some situations (which he has difficulties with but thats more because hes a control freak), quietly reassuring and praising you as the day goes on but if he notices its getting too much for you he is quick to take charge once more!
Now, as much as he loves you he would not treat you as a baby. He is willing to be by your side no matter what, but you also have to learn how to survive on your own! Both in and out of battle!
But even with being said (by him, many times) its very common to see him speaking on your behalf -with your consent and agreement- in loud situations!
All an all, He loves you and wants to make sure you feel nothing but comfortable around him!

Honestly very surprising that you managed to woo the grump! His salty attitude and tough exterior is a hard one crack, let alone break enough to allow you to worm your way into his stubborn heart!
But once you're there, I can promise you that he isn't letting go that easily! He's your problem now! >:P
Isn't big on PDA at all. He has a image to keep and he doesn't want his team mate to see him weakened (by your charm)! Well- actually its more like he's trying to save both you and himself from their never ending teasing
cause oooo boy!! Those boys are RELENTLESS!! Its such an odd and rare sight for them to see the might hero of time is such a...soft state! You turn the frightening grizzly bear into disgruntled teddy bear with a simple kiss to his cheek!
This isn't to say he'll shove you off of him if you come to hug him, but he will give you a gentle reminder as he gives you a soothing but small rub to your arm before pulling back.
BUT behind closed doors/away from prying eyes?? He will take your loving in strides! (he still gets flustered when you hold hands) The hero will let you smother him until he does need to take a step back to calm down--
His favourite acts of affection to receive (tho he wont admit it) are kisses on the tips of his fingers while you cup his names! He doesn't know why but the act just makes him melt
He still struggles a lot when it comes to giving and receiving love, so please be patient with him!
Speaking of giving love, I see Time as the type of fella that uses gifts as a way to express himself!! He sees an object/item that reminds him of you? Oops, it's in his pocket now :3! You've been taking about this one really rare item to add to your collection? Oh how strange, Time had this little thing laying around, here ya go!
The hero also enjoys just...being in the same room as you! You both could be do your own little tasks, not talking or even sitting that close, but he'll enjoy the company you give him! It might seem strange to others but the simple fact that Time knows your there and within reach is just so...comforting?
The boys have used Time's love and affection for you as a way to protect themselves from his wrath LMAO
Like, World of Realm (link) will be hauling ass as they're running away from the furious spirit until they catch sight of you!! Their saving grace!!
And before you know it, two shaking heroes are hid behind you as your dashing lover comes to a screeching halt infront of you. All you can do is give him a raised eyebrow and curious smirk and boom! legendary hero defeated (turned in a small flustered mess)
But that's not to say you don't quietly chew out the two heroes! Nono! Time is still your lover and you don't appreciate the heroes riling him up so much. This tends to end up with u pull the heroes along to give the hero an apology (if they actually did do something to make him angry/upset) when you darling had the chance to calm down.
Overall, you're relationship is one that starts slow as the hero gets used to being loved once more. It's a lot of figuring out what does and doesn't work within your relationship and how to navigate those challenges!
But even with the difficulties, the hero can and will love you with his full heart (no matter how cold the others say it is) and will do everything in his power to make sure you're kept safe and happy!
