you would think it's straight forward, but there was a science to it. it made sense now. some of the idols she followed in her youth looked flawless in every single picture and angle, and at first, she thought it was simply good genes. well, of course there was a formula. it wasn't only good genes. that made sense now, as ara sits and looks forward, her brows raised at what the coach was walking them through. she knew some of the others posted on socials but she mostly kept her pictures private now, hearing of some horror stories where some idols got blasted because of some predebut pictures and whatnot. the less out there, the better!

there was also a beautiful set on the side that they would be using too, after the instructor had walked them through the 'how-to's', and ara turns over to yuji when they release them out to the wild for attempts. "i have some selfies i took before this on my phone, so i guess we could compare them with the ones i take now. the lighting and the beautiful cherry blossom set really help though," she chuckles. "should we take some together too?"

photoshoots were nothing new for jueun. oddly enough, she feels even more in her element now that she's on a set and having gotten her hair and makeup done. it's not like she was a huge influencer before becoming a trainee, but she knew the angles she looked best as she had to take photos for certain sponsorships and whatnot.

that's why she's buzzing with so much excitement as they listen to the directions for the shoot. it's nothing fancy, and she thinks sr media is trying to see how they all look when styled together. nevertheless, she loves the idea that they're really starting to look like a group now.

the shoot's been going on for a while and they're finally given a short break as the photographer needs to reset some settings for the next batch of photos. "how exciting! i wonder how these photos are going to look. i'm sure we'll all look great together." the words rapidly left her lips as she squealed a bit upon looking at ara beside her. having gone through next gen together with ara, this felt even more special.

they were styled in such a way that made them look similar but different. it's… interesting. while it was a clean and chic looking photoshoot, ara felt they were almost lined up for comparison. they were cohesive, yet not. they were individual, yet a group. her face remains calm but there's so much that is holding her together. she will do her best and not do anything that makes her stick out like a sore thumb ( aka the whole 'trying too hard to stand out' bit ) but also she will not let herself fall behind. also, she really likes her hair like this. she should style it this way more often. she didn't grow out this length for no reason.

she's engaged, eyes on the camera, crew, and her labelmates in her peripheral. shoulders down, eyes calm but not sleepy. it feels second nature with a layer of pressure, and well- ara's always performed well under pressure. she hopes the outcome and execution comes out that way too.

ara loves being in front of the camera. all the workshops and training coming to full fruition here. bright-eyed, bright-minded, ara smiles in between the shoots and listens to the other girls talk, engaging where possible, but also staying focused. camera lens up, time to pose. serve the look. maintain eye contact. not to sound cliche, but keep a level of fierceness to not get lost in the background. the group photoshoot felt immensely different from any solo shoots but that's just the thing - with the last few weeks and months with the ladies, they're familiar. they can harmonize. they can work together. and she surely hopes that they'll be able to stay together as a group.
