Claims/Previews Info
Since we’ve been asked about this, we felt that it was necessary to clarify:
As we mentioned before, the previews of art will be only the artworks (tagged for major content warnings like explicit rating or graphic violence). The claims themselves are anonymous, but you’ll find out who the artist of your claimed artwork is when the assignment is sent out to both of you.
We will expect authors and artists to communicate with each other once the matches are made and assignments are sent out.
To our authors: we hope that you can make your choices for claims while leaving enough room for flexibility, and that you’ll be understanding of the artists’ wishes, whether they be to include or to exclude content.
To our artists: we equally hope that you can be respectful of the authors’ ideas that your art inspired, even if it may (without hitting your triggers or minor squicks) not align with your own ideas and stories behind the art.
The idea behind (and for us as mods, the hope for) the reversebang is collaboration, working on the final art/fic combo together. We’ll be here to listen and help if you run into any problems with that, on both sides, but hopefully that won’t be necessary.
