I look upon the pleasure we take in a garden ... as one of the most innocent delights in human.... . One of my visits in Kandy was to the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. An area of 147 acres with more then 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees, leaves you in awe. It took me more then 3 hrs to walk around and enjoy the place but still i think i missed some places. More then 2 million visitors visit this place annually. The beautiful orchids, the old trees with big roots spreading in the gardens was a sight i have never seen before. It was a huge garden and a mini jungle as i can say from my experience. If you are around Kandy, the first thing i would suggest is to explore this beautiful place. If anyone has visited this place, do let me know your experience in the comment section below.
