“Are you sure this is gonna work this time?” Asriel questioned, holding Chara’s hand.

“I’m positive,” Chara answered, thinking of a place and timeline to go to. “I’ve been able to travel to new worlds lately, so this should work. Anywho, ever wanted to go to a throne room?”

Asriel’s eyes lit up at the mention of going to a throne room -- a room for royalty and a god like himself. “Heck yeah! Take us there now!” his eagerness was growing each second.

Chara smiled at their brother’s enthusiasm. “Okay, hold tight. You wouldn’t wanna fall into the void, would you?” they joked, trying to scare Asriel.

Asriel fell for it and actually held tighter. He shut his eyes to protect his eyes from the sudden flash of light and opened them a couple seconds later. At first, he was ecstatic to see the inside of a throne room, but he slowly grew confuse when he noticed the place was... dark. “Uhm... Are throne rooms supposed to be THIS dark? I imagined them being well-lit...”

Chara looked around, a bit disappointed. “Yeah, I’m not so sure what’s up with this place. Maybe this is Dracula’s spooky castle,” they said and playfully bumped Asriel, trying to mess with him again.

Asriel was laughing his butt of when he found out something changed Chara into a guy. “Did you have an accident while experimenting magic?”

“Stop laughing, Rei!” Chara shouted, but it wasn’t an angry one – it was a bit embarrassed and annoyed yell. “And no, it wasn’t from MY magic.”

Asriel kept giggling. He gave a feeble growl when he was called “Rei” by his sibling yet again. “Well, fortunately for me, I’m a god! And I don’t make silly mistakes and misfortunes like you mortals do,” he joked around as usual.

Chara snickered. Listening to Asriel talk like that always amuses and cheers them up. “Yeah, whatever you say, bro.”

“Where are we gonna go, Chara?” Asriel asked excitedly, holding onto his sibling’s arm.

“You’ll see when we get there. I can assure you you’ll love it! Uhm… hopefully.” They were in the living room of their house in Snowdin. Chara was getting ready to use one of her “shortcuts” to go to another timeline. “Alright, hold on tight!”

Asriel held a bit tighter and shut his eyes. He opened them a few seconds later, and they were in… Snowdin Town? “Uhm… Chara? You just took us outside!”

Chara looked around a bit. She scratched her head and looked at Asriel. “I’ll be completely honest with you, I’m not even sure if it worked.”
