I was thinking about Dickjay when they start living together and dick being super 🥹 about it

Like seeing Jason’s shoes by the door when he gets home and the lights on and it’s so warm in a way it wasn’t when he was living alone

Or seeing their toothbrushes next to each other

Or watching Jason as he cleans the house with a handheld vacuum cleaner in his boxers and Dick just gets to watch cause that’s just part of his life now and it’s hot but also makes his heart wanna explode

Dick watching Jason work with difficult clients and being moved at how tactful and empathetic he is and then becoming really aware of him every time he’s at the hospital

(Jason’s watching him too he’s just actually subtle about it. Dick has his golden boy rep at the hospital oc)

Dick walks in on him crying one time and tries to help him before he burns himself out (and tries to ignore that Jason’s pretty when he cries lmao)

Also maybe nurse Slade is there and Dicks jealous cause him and Jason are friends lol (Dick and Slade had a toxic situation ship in the past lmaoooo and now they just give each other shit constantly and Slade knows him well enough that he knows he likes Jason and he’s an ass about it)

Slade and Jason smoke together bc they both work in the ER and it’s hell…also they both have to deal with Bruce a lot and they shit talk him out back. That nepo baby 🙄

Anyways Dick and Jason teaching each other how to not completely let their work consume them and finding meaning and the will to keep going in the horribly cruel nightmare that is American healthcare ✨

Misc stuff:

The hospital is huge so Bruce is a ER doctor, Cass is a physical therapist, Steph’s a CNA, Duke is a HUC (or maybe a phlebotomist), Tim’s a scrub tech and Bab’s works backend admin for the whole hospital.

I think Dick Steph and Duke are all in school for nursing. Tommy and Bruce have a toxic situation ship.

I’ve been thinking about like….Jason getting deaged mentally (myb physically)

And he’s treating Bruce like he used to and he’s smiling and he’s so warm and for the first time since Jason died Bruce really feels like himself again (cause a part of himself died with that boy and has never come back)

So Bruce is like ‘obviously Jason’s happier this way’ (mental gymnastics) and starts actively sabotaging any efforts to fix him 💀

Cause he can definitely do things right this time! They were never supposed to get so far apart! This is the universe righting itself. Obviously!
