my entry for the Super Science Friends Fanzine! these guys were a very old webcomic concept (if you've been following me for a while you might've seen their original post like, 5 years ago??) and once the zine project came around i thought this was probably the only time they could ever have a chance to shine lol, it's a lil more rushed than i'd prefer but i'm surprised i made it at all!
it was so cool being apart of this! SSF forever!
Wanted to freshen this up for presentation but I've had trouble staying motivated on it as of late This is Pseudoscience! Taking place in the 2020s of the SSF universe, (specifically 82 years after the end of WWII in 1941) HP Lovecraft, Maria the Jewess (that’s literally her name unfortunately augh), Trofim Lysenko, and Franz Mesmer work together as time-travelling Nazi hunters for the US government! Called Pseudoscience as every member and every foe believes in/derives their powers from something that modern science doesn’t consider real, from Lysenkoism to Animal Magnetism to just plain racism! The main plot being the mysterious Cult (second pic), attracted to the seemingly powerless Lovecraft (who will be our focal character), seeking to utilize him for their own otherworldly gain! Also uncovering a conspiracy about the true use of their work along the way or whatever I’d love to work on it more but ehhhh, for now I’m posting all that I have on it to Tumblr, don’t expect any updates anytime soon
