what are the goddesses dynamics with each other? do luna and celestia still have a strong sisterly bond like when they were ponies or have their perception of emotion changed with godhood?

In the thousand years Luna was imprisoned, her sister remained in the world, being the sun and amassing worship, cementing herself as biggest lifegiving force in the world. This allowed her to grow higher than the tallest mountain, while Luna emerges still smaller than her sister even used to be.

To put it in perspective, see that little green smear in the bottom left?

That's Canterlot. The biggest city in equestria.

Luna is only a little bigger than that. Before the banishment, Celestia was less than twice Luna's size. But she grew while luna barely did. Luna was feared as the dreaded Nightmare Moon, which grew her corrupted power, but it could not measure up to the sun.

After being freed, she established her place as keeper of the night and queen of Dreams, which allowed her to grow once again, but she still doesn't reach Celestia's scale.

This is how things are about a century after the events of g4.

Luna is much more connected to ponykind than celestia is. She can visit individual dreams and connect with ponies that way, while Celestia doesn't bother. Her bond with Celestia is strong, post release, but will always be fractured while Luna has one hoof among mortals.

Eventually, Twilight will encourage them to stop meddling in mortal politics, and they will concentrate on bigger things like the weather and health of the planet. Once both of them become equal parts of the sky, they will become as close again as they were in foalhood. Right now there is an imbalance in size and power due to ponies worshiping/believing in the goddess of the day, but less celebrating the goddess of night. After luna is freed, appreciation of her grows massively and she catches up to be closer to celestia's size.

The other two goddesses have a sisterly relationship as well. They are both young, and represent different types of love. They are closer to mortals than they are to the sky gods, and they are closer to each other than they are to mortals. Still, because they are rooted in mortals' feelings for each together, they will always be more connected than the sisters are.

However, one must remember that gods are capable of emotions beyond mortal comprehension.

Yes, and there is an area of equestria with craters from stomping hooves and a massive valley where one of the goddesses was thrown to the earth. It's a fertile river valley now with a huge blooming city (idk which city. pick one for me)

I havent decided if the battle is going to be a painting or a fic, but I made a playlist that will inspire me when I do get to it.

Do the sky sisters follow a road or highway around the world? Do they follow their own hoofprints like bears walking their territory? Like cats doing direct registering?

Yes. The Sky sisters have a set daily path, their hooves hit the same spots every day. Which is also why it's hard to get accidentally trampled. You can see them coming and just decide Not to be in The Holy Meadow(s)

They can easily see the spots to put their hooves, having walked the path a million days. These are spots filled with unique flora and fauna that thrive on being crushed for several minutes or hours at a time, twice a day (the back hoof is placed into the front hoof's print.) The circles, craters pools, and valleys are teaming with magic, and are regarded as natural wonders or sacred places of prayer, depending on the local culture.

Luna is much smaller and able to deviate from her path without great consequences. Plus after a thousand years imprisoned, her prints had grown over and were lost to time.

These days, she charts her own course.

Do the gods ever feel bad about stepping on mortals accidently?

They generally are able to avoid smashing mortals by stepping in the same place every day, with their tracks being distinct areas that you know to stay out of when you see a sister coming in the distance.

If a mortal is in the sacred print when the hoof comes down, they were either left there like a victim tied to train tracks, or they are stupid. Like trains, gods don't always notice when they've clipped someone who got too close to the hoof-fall for a thrill. They just keep going, and mortals have to clean up the mess.

So most of the time, if you are smart and stay out of their way, you can avoid being crushed. Gods are predictable, and when they need to deviate from their path, they move slowly and carefully to allow mortals to get out of the way.

The exception is when the gods are doing battle, a rare calamity with global devastation. Wild stomping, celestial bodies falling from the sky, and crushing oblivion.

God Battle is apocalyptic. Mortals who live through it pray every day for the memories to leave them, wishing they could believe the gods were always peaceful.

do the princesses ever accidentally walk into cloudsdale? or cloudsdale has a fluke and flies into a princesses?

everyone knows when celestia is coming and moves out of her way. she has a set path and schedule she walks every day.

If she deviated from that path, cloudsdale would try to move itself out of her way.

The rest of the princesses can walk under it.

How big are the god's hooves? Do they ever accidentally kick anyone or step on them?

Very Very big. But also all different sizes depending on the princess.

The hooves are tapered down into tiny points for minimum surface area, rather than being massive draft hooves that flatting whole counties, but they are still incredibly large when you are a tiny horse or a house or something.

I have never been that concerned with actual numbers. I'm more of a vibes guy. And vibes is great because I can change shit around whenever I feel like.
