while we are waiting for free and open Certificate Authority “Lets Encrypt”, we got a new option.

sslip.io gives a subdomain based upon your ip and you just need to set up SSL key which released at GitHub to your server.

Finally you will have a ip based SSL subdomain address e.g.  https://52-0-56-137.sslip.io/

Jane's Walk in South Salt Lake!

Jane's Walk is upon us again! Envision Utah will be hosting a Jane Jacobs Walk, a walking community conversation, exploring the changing neighborhood dynamics around the Meadowbrook Trax station. The walking tour will highlight topics that include Transit Oriented Development, Accessibility and Mobility, Density and Complete Streets. We will also hear from community organizations as well as representatives from South Salt Lake and Salt Lake County as we discuss the impacts of their presence in the neighborhood. When: Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10am-12noon We will start at the Meadowbrook Trax station on 3900 South. No registration is needed!

The South Salt Lake Infrastructure Project (SSLIP)

The goal for the South Salt Lake Infrastructure Project is to make the streets and sidewalks more accessible in this area of town. We would like to see curbs, gutters, and sidewalks in South Salt Lake and implement bike lanes between 3300 and 3900 South on Main Street and West Temple. We seek input from the community and local businesses.

Brigham Young made the streets wide enough to turn a wagon around. Certainly the streets should be wide enough to implement these changes.
