She knew he didn’t believe her. Why would he? She repeatedly lied to him, manipulated him and took advantage of him. That’s what she always does. But she hasn’t always been like that. It’s ever since that damn -A person watches her every step, making her anxious. She wanted to reveal that person so much that she didn’t care how many people around would get hurt. But not anymore, that’s why she was here. That’s why she came to Wren. Spencer had feelings for him ever since she met him and he needed to hear what she had to say. He needed to know how she feels about him.
”Look, I understand that you don’t believe me. I understand that you’re hurt and you have every right to be. But truth be told, Wren, I miss you. I am so sorry about the way I’ve treated you and if I could take it all back, I would. But I can’t. The only thing I can do is to say how sorry I am and try to make it right.”
Spencer looked down. She knew that if she tries to talk to him, he won’t be happy about it. That’s why she just took a deep breath and looked up again. She deserved it. She deserved his anger and she deserved to be yelled at. But he didn’t yell at her. That’s what made it even harded for her.
”You’re right. Do I really know you? I know you’re smart, kind and passioned. I also know that you’re an honourable man. When I was drunk, you could take advantage of me but you didn’t. And I respect you for that. All I am asking for is a second chance, Wren. Would you do that for me?”
[ and here he was again, in danger to fall for every word she said. it was too easy for him to let his feeling cloud his judgement and just seeing her there in front of him, looking down, was enough for him to be weak again. the feelings for her had never stopped but how was he supposed to trust him. each and every time she left him behind he would just hurt more than the time before. her words were being honest, he could hear it in her voice, but how would he be sure that she wouldn't turn around and go to her carpenter again? ] ❝ spencer, i believe that you are sorry, i really do, but that's not enough, everytime you walked away from me i wondered what i did wrong to deserve this. this is not about the way i feel about you because truth to be told, it never changed. this is about trusting you again. ❞ [ he didn't want to yell, he wasn't the type to yell, but he still felt a little bit fooled by her. although he took a few steps towards her, taking a deep breath while listening to her. she was asking for a second chance.
