"Free the nips!"
"Alright, get in the wheelbarrow. Let's go."
"Yes, ma'am."
How about both of them dressed as your favorite ghibli couple?
((Technically they're a pair, not a "couple" but they're cute!))
"It's raining."
((Send an outfit for Sal, Ysmine, or both of them!))
"Nng..."
"Hm? You alright, sweetie?"
*sniff*
"Are you okay?"
"Rabb..it.."
Ysmine sat up in bed and stretched. She glanced at the spot next to her, heart skipping when Sal wasn't there. "No... nonononono!" She tossed the covers off and bolted down the stairs. "Seamus??"
She let out a heavy sigh and and clutched her chest when she saw him leaning against the kitchen counter. "Seamus? Why are you walking around? You should be in bed!"
Sal stayed still, palms pressed into the counter for balance. He stared down, silent and despondent. As Ysmine approached him, he turned his head to look away from her. Her heart sunk and she lay a hand on his shoulder. "Seamus... baby... why are you not talking to me..? You know you can tell me anything. Please..?"
Sal opened his mouth to say something, but quickly closed it, seeming to try and find the right words.
After a moment, he sighed and turned to her.
"Ysmine... I.. I- I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left. I'm sorry I put myself in danger. I put you and Frank in danger... I- I... If I hadn't left.. Frank wouldn't be this upset. He wouldn't be putting the blame on himself... Ysmine..." he rested both hands on her shoulders. "I love you. I love you so much. If I don't say it enough, then I'll say it more often. I love you."
"Seamus... you couldn't have predicted that.. you couldn't have known those men were there at that moment on that night. This is nobody's fault. You hear me? Not yours, not Frank's, not anyone's. You went through hell. But now we're home and we can recover... okay? We can get through this. You need to stay positive, okay?"
Sal stared at her for a few moments, taking in her words. After a minute or two of silence, he finally nodded. "You're right. No one's to blame for this... thank you."
"Of course. Now come on, let's get you back to bed."
Sal nodded again and followed, using nearby furniture to walk with her.
"Ysmine, I..." he started, then his expression dropped and color drained from his face. His hands started to shake as he tried to control his suddenly labored breathing.
"Seamus..? What's wrong??"
Sal dizzily wobbled on his feet, his heart racing and his stomach churning. He bent forward to hold tight to a chair. His slimy hands didn't prove to be much help as his grip slipped and he dropped to his knees. He then doubled over, holding himself. The world around him grew fuzzy and dark, and soon he was forcefully pulled into unconsciousness.
After all this time, it was finally happening. Sal choked up a little at the thought of finally marrying the love of his life.
Sal stood tall in the yard and waited patiently for his bride. He felt a few shoulder squeezes from his friends and felt his heart beat excitedly. He and Ysmine stayed up the whole night before tying together their simple outfits. And last night they slept holding hands.
Finally the time was here. Ysmine walked elegantly toward him. She was so beautiful, and more majestic and beautiful in the shimmery sunlight. As she made her way to him, Sal stood taller, trying to give Ysmine the same impression of him.
As Ysmine stopped in front of her groom, she felt her own heart pound and breath shake. She'd been looking forward to this moment for years. And now she was surrounded by new friends and family. She felt her mouth curl into a big grin as she put her hands in Sal's. The world seemed to stop and she stood alone with her best friend. The boy who's been there with her through thick and thin. Even when they were separated, they were still together. The sweet salamander stared back at her and she knew the time was right.
"Ysmine. Will you be my wife? And stay with me for the rest of our lives?"
"Yes, Seamus. Of course I will."
The two amphibians stood there silent for a moment, ignoring the people around them as they pulled each other in a tight embrace. Sal lifted Ysmine and kissed her deeply.
With that, the marriage was official. Seamus and Ysmine were now husband and wife.
"Come in the water!"
"Uh... maybe I'll stay out here, this time.."
"Are you kidding?? You've never said no to swimming! You love the water!!"
"I do, but I think I'm good for now."
*grAbs him, pulling him into the water*
"Wow. Is it just me, or is it really comfy tonight?"
*nuzzles into his chest* "It's really comfy~"
