((So uh, hi guys. This blog is super dead, but I suppose it's only fair to give the salamanders some closure. I haven't uploaded in about 183585020 years and I'm just not super interested in writing for these guys anymore. Now, that's not to say I don't love my slimes! I'll still post art of them here and there. But for anyone who may find this blog in the future, this will be the beginning of the end for it.

It's sad to actually write this out. But there's just no time for me to keep up with a story for them.

It's only fair I wrap this up for myself and any people who might stumble on this blog in the future. It's been super fun and I made new friends along the way. I'll see ya around for the last few posts.))

"It is! It's gonna be nice to go home and be with our people again."

Are you guys gonna stay in the swamp permanently?

"No, no. Were going back home once the kids are a little bigger and can walk. Which shouldn't be too much longer."

Aww babies keeping you busy?

"Most definitely. Seven crying kids is... a lot to handle. Ys and I are taking turns napping. I'm trying to let her sleep more, though. She's done so much, already."

"I love my army of slimy chitlins... but I'm so tired...."

((Not super motivated for art lately, my job and school take up a lot of my days and free time. But here's a small nyesser to hopefully give y'all a smile. :) ))

How are the babies doing?

"They're great! They're sleeping now. I'm taking the night shift while Ysmine rests."

Not even taking the fact that people might be sleeping, Sal abruptly dropped in the house via portal. Stepping in, he smiled and called out. "Happy New Year! Guess what?? My babies are here!! Come see!!! There's a bunch of them!!!" ~Nyess

The sudden whoosh of a portal and loud nyessing brought Frank from a drowsy half sleep on the couch. Within seconds he was up on his feet and rushing over to pull his slimy friend into a bear hug.

"Salamander Man!!! Oh my gods I've missed you so much!" He punctuated his words with a squeeze, grinning wide. "They've hatched!? Holy shit lemme see!!"

[the-slimes]

Sal hugged back, bouncing a little and he did. "I missed you too! We both did!" He gave his friend a big, slimy smooch on the cheek before pulling his hand. "C'mon! They're adorable! Their eyes are all big and their hands are tiny and, and- c'mon!"

With that, Sal pulled Frank with him through the portal.

[frank-n-fritz]

Passing through the other side of the portal, Frank took a deep breath of the humid, tropical air and examined his surroundings. The lush swampy forest was beautiful, the perfect place for the Caudata family.

Before long the pair found their way back to the nest, Frank's face lighting up at the sight of Ysmine and the brood of seven tiny salamanders.

"Sal oh my gooood!" He squealed, rushing over to greet the axolotl and her babies. "Look at them! They're so cute!"

[the-slimes]

"Aren't they?? They're so tiny!" The babies all stared at Frank with curious looks. The twins curiously grabbed his shirt and another reached for his hair.

"Aww, they like you! Just watch their teeth, they're really sharp..."

[frank-n-fritz]

"Ohhh they're so precious!" Frank cooed at the curious amphibians, allowing them to grab and investigate him as he petted their little slimy heads. It wasn't long though before Frank discovered the sharp teeth his friend had warned him about as one of the babies began chewing his finger.

"Ow.. ow... alright lil one that's enoug- oww!" The Peace Lord quickly pulled his hand away and bit back the expletives he wanted to shout. "Heheh.. yeah... they really are sharp..! Didn't expect 'em to be born with teeth! I'll keep my hands away from those chompers and how about you tell me a bit about 'em? What names did you decide?"

[the-slimes]

Sal couldn't help but laugh at Frank. "I told you! They really like chewing on stuff. Oh!" Sal happily clapped his hands, looking at Ysmine before introducing the kids.

Pointing at each one, he named them. "This is Aiden and Ava, they're twins! Here's Mina, Otis, Lily, Sebastian, and Bailey! They are my pride and joy, and I love them so much. All their names are significant people and things in both mine and Ysmine's lives." Sal picked up a tiny axolotl and kissed her head. "It's wild to think we were this small at a point in time."

[frank-n-fritz]

"They're all wonderful." The sight of Sal and Ysmine holding their adorable, bitey offspring brought a small tear to Frank's eye, not even bothering to hide it he sniffled and smiled. "I'm so proud of you both! You fought all the odds and you're here, together, and have a beautiful family. You guys are amazing!"

"Thank you, Frank. We really were blessed to have such a wonderful thing happen." Sal set the baby down, and pulled his friend in a big hug. "Thank you for always being there for me." :')
