Trinità dei Monti, Rome - Italy The Trinità dei Monti Staircase, was built between 1723 and 1726. Built in travertine, it is composed of a series of ramps, 11 in all, each made up of 12 steps, which divide and come together, changing direction, alternating protrusions and indentations, typical of the Roman eighteenth century. A series of balustrades accompanies the ramps, interrupting the difference in height and acting as a panoramic and resting point. It is the link between the church of SS.Trinità and the underlying Piazza di Spagna, a space both for transit and as a meeting place. Over time it has had numerous maintenance interventions, an important complete restoration took place in 1995 and in 2015 the staircase was restored again. Construida en travertino, está compuesta por una serie de rampas, 11 en total, cada una compuesta de 12 escalones, que se dividen y se juntan, cambiando de dirección, alternando salientes e indentaciones, típico del siglo XVIII romano. Una serie de balaustradas acompaña a las rampas, interrumpiendo la diferencia de altura y actuando como un punto panorámico y de descanso.
