☀️Pre-orders for the SECOND PRINTING of Stalwart Sun, Wily Moon are now OPEN!🌙
I can hardly believe it, but enough people filled out the interest form that here it is-- a 2nd nonprofit run of SS/WM! All formatting and art remains the same as the first printing, save for a new special byline inside acknowledging that these are 2nd editions.
✨ 8.5"x11" perfect-bound, 528 pages
✨ soft-touch laminated hardcover illustrated by Eileen Kai Hing Kwan
✨ interior art by me + guest artists Dory Whynot, Del Borovic, & Elizabeth Wakou!
✨ illustrated interior drop capitals, & more!
✨ once again limited to 100 numbered copies
Please be aware that this is a pre-order. All my files are ready to go, but I'll need to proof the books with the printer before they go into production, which takes additional time. My goal is to start shipping orders around early April. There's no deadline to order per se, but only 100 copies will be produced so when they're gone, they're gone!
Q: Are you allowed to make money from fic? And why is it so expensive?!
A: I don't make any money from the sale of these books-- not for this run, and not from the last. This is a completely non-profit project, but not in the typical fandom sense where proceeds go to charity. It's really expensive to print a book like this-- large size, high page count, with special features like gold foiling and full-color interior art. This is a premium thing (almost more of an art object than a book) and the smaller a print run, the more expensive each copy is. The price is quite literally how much each book costs to print.
Q: Why is shipping so expensive?
A: I want everyone who wants to buy this book to be able to afford it. Unfortunately, shipping internationally from the U.S. is crazy expensive (for example, $39.81 to ship just one copy to Germany-- not to mention customs/VAT fees). In the spirit of fandom being a community grounded in love and accessibility for all, I've added a few dollars to the shipping fees for U.S. orders so that I can give international customers a small discount on theirs. I did this last time as well-- even with that offset some international customers were still paying $30+ for shipping, and I personally lost money covering those discounts for them. It's entirely a labor of love, so thank you for understanding!
