St Gobnait sent bees after people she didn't like and St Kevin was so popular he had to keep moving because people kept building monasteries around this hermit. #irishsaintsmybeloveds

Both are brand new saints for the pre-schism list! they'll need more propaganda to make it to the bracket!!

Lá 'le Ghobnait

11 February is the feast day of St. Gobnait.

St. Gobnait is a relatively little-known Irish saint who is associated with healing and beekeeping and is considered the protector of Baile Bhúirne. One tradition holds that she is one of three sister saints, the others most usually named as Latiaran of Cullen and Crobhdhearg of Cathair Crobh Dearg (i.e., The City, which rests at the base of the Paps). The feast days of these three sister saints seem to suggest a vestige of seasonal mythology.
