I've noticed a lot of people have discovered NEC lately and I'm so glad! That fanfic truly changed my life (and started my Stucky obsession). I wanted to remind everyone that there's an unofficial coda fic, like a little nsfw bonus chapter if you will, that really helped me get the closure I needed after finishing that story. It's on AO3 as Bone of my bones by Thegeminisage. Go read it if you haven't already ;)

It’s amazing, isn’t it? And yes, there absolutely is, and I am ashamed to admit I haven’t read it yet 🙈 I’ve only heard good things about it, and that it’s a worthy sequel that was written with the permission of the NEC authors, but my brain keeps being like “but it was so perfect, do I really want to add anything to that?” (but of course I will read it at some point, I just need time to work up to it like I did with NEC haha). Anyways, for those of you who also haven’t read it and want to, read it here:

It's insane, this stan culture is so toxic, can we go back to just admiring and liking actors for their work and leave all the rest alone?

It’s also, in my opinion, extremely entitled to turn the mourning and suffering of a marginalized community into something about you and your interests. I understand debating on whether it’s appropriate for a person who is famous and has people that look up to them act this or that way on the internet (again, it creeps me out how much importance we’re giving to twitter or instagram as a reflection of a person’s morality, but okay) but it’s not appropriate to make the pain of Black people about what is essentially your hobby (following celebrities online is a hobby, let’s not forget this, nobody entrusted nobody with the task of being the Internet Inquisition).

Tbh this isn’t even about the actual celebrities, who don’t need to be coddled by me or anyone here (but still deserve basic decency because they’re human people, but okay), but the principle - don’t make the pain of the Black community about yourself and your little online agenda.

Also don’t aggressively talk about suicide or death into some stranger’s inbox.

You're likely to get some nutbar who will tell you "oh it's different when it's your own", but no. As a parent? THIS IS VALID.

My friend said the same. xD She loves her child and wants more, but at the same time she was really happy to not have to be the one to entertain her daughter for a few hours.

I just saw a shipper comment "that could have been Seb" on that Dodger pic Chris posted and I just...how stupid are some people?? Don't do that stuff on actor's accounts! How hard is that? I called her out (politely!) and she just put a bunch of smileys and told me to keep calm. They just don't get it, do they? I feel bad being associated with shippers like that :/

Oh god, this is exactly what we’re always saying that people shouldn’t do 🤦🏻‍♀️ I think you were right to politely call her out, but her reaction shows that she probably doesn’t even realize that what she’s doing isn’t okay, and that’s the biggest problem right there. If people don’t understand why it’s wrong, then they won’t change their behaviour either. It really is a shame, because these guys deserve more respect than that, and it gives us all a bad name, and it’s maybe also partly the reason why we can’t have nice things 😅
