hiii hello i'm glad someone likes it 😊😵💫 i am working on Will's powers... in my mind at least. i look foward to doing a more elaborate post about it cause i have many ideas about them, and Syd is a big inspiration right now. something that's certain about how i'd like to proceed is that Will is terrified by them, and disgusted cause they're literally the physical manifestation of his buried feelings and "uglier" thoughts. they're everything he keeps repressing, most obviously his sexuality and gender expression too. that's why he hates them and keeps them a secret, despite knowing that he shouldn't do that. i think they will be innate, but i still have to think about that. they're only starting to show up now because... simple answer: hormones. less simple answer: Will has been "blocked". his strongest emotions are making him unblock himself and he has no control over this, which scares him. tied to this, the upside down continues to haunt him but in a different way. Will has a lot to process. The threat is increasingly monstrously tangible. and more human at the same time. i do want to keep Henry, i think, but i want it to be different. i will elaborate on the supernatural plot more when i'll have my ideas a little clearer, i promise! i am more invested in the characters at the moment, and the dynamics i want to esplore, with the foreground dedicated to Will and El. she is the first to know about Will's powers, and after covering for yet another thing Will breaks or sends to short-circuit, the bond between them will grow stronger and deeper, especially because she already lives with the Byers in season3, since i'll make Hopper die instead of Bob. and with Max finding her best friends in them, this trio will become pivotal for the fourth season.
