OC Introduction: Sofia Torres

With the Torres family, everything is a transaction, even if you are family. Both Sofia and her older sister, Ana, were allowed to do whatever they wanted as long as they never made a fuss and followed the small amount of orders they were given. She took an interest in cars and how they worked from a very young age and fell in love with karting as soon as she was allowed to do it.
Her parents thought it was just a hobby at first, but then she was scouted for several feature races and for F1 Academy and that's when the transaction aspect kicked in. Sofia was allowed to pursue her motorsport career, so long as she did so with grace and made the Torres family look good. This is why she is kind of forced to start with and remain with the Ferrari academy.
She committed to the career without complaint, but had a nagging thought in the back of her mind that perhaps the engineering aspect was more for her than the driving. Eventually, she found a way to do both - a part-time, multi-year engineering degree while she was driving in the junior formulas. Sofia was happy to just drive, not overly ambitious for a title. Her talent was enough to move her up the formulas, having been on multiple Constructor's winning teams despite not being a champion.
Eventually, however, she's faced with the fact that she can't stay in the junior formulas forever and, even if she does love engineering, driving is what she loves most. Either she changes motorsports entirely, or she chases Formula 1.
She hardly ever visits her parents, they hardly ever go to races, neither party complains. They only go to Monaco and races with high prestige. Ana doesn't take sides or protect Sofia from their influence because she feels sidelined.
Out of all of her friends, she is the best PR trained because she grew up around the cameras. She knows how to say what the cameras want without letting their gaze get to her.
She'll often do engineering-related courses or attend webinars for fun. This is why she gives surprisingly good feedback, but she never pretends to know better than the actual engineers.
Her insane memory means that she will win multiple seasons of Grill the Grid. Fitting, given that her mentor figure is Vettel for a little bit.
