Bad Cop Bad Cop tore it up last night at the Ivy Room. Whoa!! These ladies are energetic, and put on a killer show. They played to a packed house and gave us everything. I highly recommend you catch their show when they come to your town. Kick Ass!!

Brand-Spanking-New PHOTOSET & REVIEW:
BAD COP / BAD COP (Vans Warped Tour) at Merriweather Post Pavilion (Columbia, MD), July 16th, 2017 [x]
As a Warped Tour newbie (as of the morning of July 16th, 2017), I needed to make a game plan for tackling a roster of bands I’d never heard before (beside Stacked Like Pancakes!). I gave myself one big goal: to see as many bands with female-identifying people in them as I could! I hadn’t seen a woman front a band live since I saw No Doubt and Paramore play at Nissan Pavilion (now “Jiffy Lube Live”) eight years ago in Bristow, VA, so I was in dire need of some girl power!
With the difficult task of performing an early set for potentially groggy punk fans at 11:55am on a Sunday, Bad Cop / Bad Cop took it in stride. Pink-haired guitarist/vocalist Stacey Dee made jokes about playing rock ‘n’ roll in the AM, and thanked everyone in the pavilion for joining them so early in the day.
The punk quartet jumped into their set and kept the pace fast and fierce, much like the fighter’s spirit contained within the lyrics of each song! Lead vocals were shared by both guitarists (Stacey and Jennie Cotterill), with backing vocals from bassist Linh Le. The trio delivered a unique mix of both snarled and softened three-part harmonies, which complemented their bold and brash riffs. The jackhammer drum fills during “Nightmare” (supplied by drummer Myra Gallarza) were the perfect wake-up call!
With 25 full minutes of female-empowering firepower, Bad Cop / Bad Cop kicked the day off right by getting the Hard Rock Stage riled up and ready for more! (Keep an eye out for this Los Angeles foursome, as this was the band’s first trip to Maryland! Don’t let it be their last!)
