So the last few months have been incredibly chaotic for me and I haven't had much time to read for pleasure... But this one I didn't want to put down. 'The Familiars' by Stacey Halls intertwines two of my favourite things: historical fiction (specifically focusing on the Pendle Witch Trials of the early 17th century), and powerful, reaffirming friendships between women. Also it's beautifully written, gothic, atmospheric and magical.
