Review: The Marriage Merger by Jennifer Probst
The Marriage Merger by Jennifer Probst Series: Marriage to a Billionaire #4 Genre: Contemporary Romance Age Group: Adult Release Date: July 30th 2013 Print Length: 401 pages Format: Paperback Source: from Publisher for honest review Gallery Books Review Date: August 6th 2013 Cover Rating: 4 Stars Steam Rating: Scorcher Overall Rating: 4 Stars Review: This is the second book by Jennifer Probst I have read, and it will not be the last. She is a very talented romance writer. I gave both the first and the fourth books in this series four solid stars. This installment can be read as a standalone, basically that is how I read it—because it has been over a year since I read the first one, and barely remembered any of it, that is until this one jogged my memory. This is the story of Julietta and Sawyer. Julietta is the last of the Conte sisters single. She believes she will be like this forever, and that she is damaged. She is unable to respond to physical intimacy with a man, she basically tunes out. At first I thought this was because she went through some sort of sexual abuse in the past, but that is not the case. Actually we never really find out exactly why she has been so frigid for so many years, unable to even orgasm. But my best guess is just lack of proper lovers?? That is until she meets Sawyer Wells, a super hot billionaire with a lust for dominant sex, and Julietta. They are considering going into business with one another, and Sawyer propositions Julietta with an offer she can’t refuse in exchange for one night with him. But the catch is he has to make her orgasm, twice ;-) “Don’t say things like that.” Her voice came out hoarse and ragged. “Why?” he mummured, coaxing her nipple tighter. He watched every motion until she felt naked and vulnerable. “Because it’s not proper? You’ve done proper already, and it hasn’t worked. It’s time you do dirty.” Yes Sawyer loves to talk dirty, and he does it soooo good. This book was so steamy for a while I thought it may be a touch erotica. But it did not stay that way, the storyline took off, and the sex scenes spread apart. But were still very hot ;-) with just a touch of BDSM. … “I can’t be what you want.” She whispered. His eyes blazed fire. Oddly his face seemed to soften with a possessiveness she’d never glimpsed before. “You don’t have to be anything, baby. You have no choices left—I’ve taken them all away. I’m about to play with your delectable body, and there’s not a damn thing you can do.” *sigh* I want me some Sawyer Wells!!! There is also some serious subject matter, dealing with Sawyer and his childhood—which was full of abuse. As he overcomes his past, his and Julietta’s relationship grows stronger. So this couple goes through many challenges, but the matriarch of the family Momma Conte always saves the day. I think she plays a part in quite a few of the books of this series, helping her family find true love. She was great ♥ Overall, I highly recommend this book to all lovers of contemporary romance with a little kink ;-) ~StacyHgg Books Unhinged Book Blog

Summary:
Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He’ll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that’s not really true. Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating. Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life? Can Drew Evans win at love? Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Review:
In this book you meet Drew. Drew is a playboy that can pretty much get any women he wants, by giving his sexy smile and talking a few flirty words. Expect one women he meets at a club. This one is very different she doesn't fall at his feet when he flashes her his panty dropping smile. He never gets the mysterious women's name but he will soon know her very well.
That Monday when Drew returns to work at the investment banking firm he learns they are welcoming a new colleague to the team. Can you guess who that would be?? That's right none other than the captivating women Drew can't get out of his head from the club....Katherine (Kate) Brooks. Oh and Kate so has him by the balls because Drew wants her bad!
Kate and Drew end up working together on a presentation to get a new client. The sexual tension between them is thick enough you can cut it with a knife. They finally give into one another and spend a entire weekend at Drew's apartment (insert steamy sex here). When returning back to work that next Monday everything is amazing between them and they couldn't be happier...until they walk into the lobby of their office building. Kate's ex-boyfriend Billy is there to take her back. This is where Drew screws up everything. Instead of just asking Kate what happened between her and Billy when they talked he makes a complete ass out of himself.
And this is where I'm going to leave you guessing...can Drew fix everything between the two of them?? Or will he lose her for good? What lengths will he go to get her back? And is he the dreaded L word with her..in Love??
My Thoughts on Tangled:
I feel like Tangled only lived up to half of the hype and anticipation that it was supposed to have. It had its funny parts but I didn't feel like it was hilarious like I had read on other blogs and sites. If you are looking for a cute light-hearted love story, with laughs, and steamy sex this is your book. With all of that being said this book was just okay for me.
