Despite what the staff post implies, if you look into it further, it does seem to work for the app as well: "After subscribing via a browser, you won't see ads in the app or on web. We're still finalizing the checkout process in the iOS and Android apps." Just sounds like you can't quite subscribe from the app yet.

Oh! This is good to know! I figured this would get talked about more as it got traction but hadn't looked into it yet. I appreciate you letting me know! Thanks! That is very helpful ^‿^
