Ive been binging a ton of Epic the musical recently and as a bit of a nerd for musical theater I had an idea for if it ever got played on Broadway for how they could arrange the stage
I have 2 pics, one from above and one from the front, sorry for not being the best drawer. The one from above shows how the different levels would be arranged. The one from the front shows the view from the audience. The shaded areas would be screens that could be changed to fit where they are located, such as the boat, or the cave, or the underworld. The idea was the middle raised area could be the boat for all ship scenes, it would only be about hip height or less from the ground. The levels would go up as it goes around the edge of the stage until you got to the front corners which would have these areas near the ceiling. These spots would be where the gods anytime they aren't on the floor would be located(such as Zeus during horse and the infant) it would also be a good spot for Just a Man and No Longer You. I can just imagine at the end of No Longer You the person playing Ody falling(lowering down by cable) from the top into the waters of the Styx below and then we go into Monster right on the raised ship with has been instead turned into a rocky outcrop.
