Mansfield Town host Guiseley in the FA CUP second round tomorrow, which also sees the return of former managers Adam Murray and Paul Cox to Field Mill. With the greatest respect to Guiseley for how far they have got in the cup I cant see nothing except a Stags win. Evans hinted that their could be changes made to the team which could see players such as Atkinson, Butcher, Angol and Oljenik to name a few pushing for a starting place.
For me they both Murray and Cox deserve enormous credit and a good reception for their services at the club and success they had with us. I admit at times I was frustrated with the style of play and negative tactics but at the same time they brought us promotion back to the football league and for that will always be remembered in our history.
We also go into the game 10 games unbeaten and looking to progress into the competition. As long as the players turn up and play our usual game, I think we have more than enough to cause them to many problems in every position. Even though we are the over riding favourites to progress it is important we don't let the concentration slip, as they will be up for it hoping to cause an upset. That being said we shouldn't have any problems with the quality in the side.
