          The support during a particularly grueling battle is appreciated, even if Aegis refrained from showing it externally, holding himself onto a higher expectation to never falter in the heat of battle. “You jest, Kanata, I don’t intend to be left here in the first place,” Aegis replied, pushing himself to not sound breathless. They must continue on as well while there is still light, to make up for lost time after a long search for a source of food. It becomes difficult to count on a town they pass by in their adventure, as any with a vision central could potentially recognize any one of them.

She’s back at the markets again. Chasing interesting things from stall to stall, there’s been a bag of things that she’s slowly acquired over time. It’s nothing too expensive, little nick-knacks and trinkets that she’s found interesting. There’s not more than a few dollars worth into it, but it’s still quite frustrating when she sets it down somewhere, and forgets to pick it back up when she walks away. Twenty minutes later, she’s in a bit of a spiral trying to find it. 

It’s a ways into her search, when she bumps into someone else. They make eye contact for a bit too long, and she pounces.

“Hey! Hey- can you help me for a minute?” She’s stressed, by the tone of her voice, but not panicked. “I set a bag down and now I can’t find it, and it’s so crowded that I’m going crazy trying to spot it by myself. Can you help me?”

How long had it been since he had last gone to a festival? Almost... ten years perhaps? He didn’t know. Hell, Kyoya could barely remember that particular festival, mainly due to him spending most of the time making sure his younger sister didn’t get lost... Which likely would have happened if he hadn’t been keeping an eye on her. 

Though, come to think of it... Weren’t he and his friends talking about going to a festival a few months ago? Before he ended up here, that is. Or didn’t that festival get—

...He’s so lost in his thoughts, Kyoya didn’t realize he was staring right at someone. Or were they staring back at him? Shit.

“S-Sorry, I was just... Thinking about how long it’s been since I’ve been to a festival,” Kyoya quickly explains. Glancing away from the other for a moment, he looks over at the food stalls nearby... Or at least the ones he could see.

“Do... festivals normally have this many food stalls? I ain’t complaining or anything but... wow, that’s a lot.”

the transfer to this world is a jarring experience: given misella’s background, one would think she is used to the unknown, the unexplored. but how would anyone be prepared to be taken to an entirely new world? she can only stand firmly on the ground, resolute to survive and live with her sins. this pain is her penance; she has learned to accept the cowl of guilt.

though normally self-sufficient, she is frantic and terrified. eyes are wide as she wildly searches around, and through the shoes are scuffed from quickly shuffling around this unusual kingdom, she ignores it all. the pain of walking too quickly, the ache in her heart - she is fixated on the goal of reuniting with her most beloved, and nothing else could come remotely close to dissuading her from her goal.

she sees the blonde hair in the back at first, and her heart lurches into her throat; the outfit comes after, and with that, the recognition has set in. relief spreads within like a wildfire, joy echoed clearly and vibrantly in her voice when she runs forward and calls out his name:

-- what is it about 'tales of' that brings out the nerd in us. crestoria went 'here's a nerd knight. with his own sense of justice. looks all serious until you poke him just right.' taking him up instantly and making him yours. i haven't really seen him in game other than screenshots but i enjoy reading the posts and think your portrayal is fantastic.

nerd <3 bamco called us out again like instantly, and here i am rping another serious yet nerdy type. it’s good to hear that i’ve been doing great with aegis, and i’ll keep trying to keep that up for longer! same goes for mikleo too, even if it’s been literal years since i’ve been on him ( and looked at anything zestiria related ) so they’ll be ic. here’s to writing longer with you, partner!
