can you guys help explain the new taken king light system? I didn't play destiny for like two weeks before it came out and I'm so lost.

Yeah! So your gear and weapons both tie into your light level. It takes the defense/attack, so you'll want to make sure your gear is the absolute best. I really don't like how your weapons tie in with your light, because you can't always use the weapons you necessarily want, just the ones that are the best. But you can also infuse legendary and exotic gear now! It takes a few materials, but if you have another exotic, legendary, or rare piece of gear, you can infuse it into another piece of gear to make it stronger. I'm not sure if that makes sense haha.
