Project Management Stakeholders Analysis
Here is a short explanation of what is the stakeholder, according to Mitchell (1997): “any group or individual who can affect or is affected by the achievement of the organizations objectives”, (Mitchell, 1997; 854). And this group or individual can be a sponsor, client, project manager, as well as the team that responsible for the constructions, suppliers etc. these can be called direct stakeholders.
There are other groups who can be classified as indirect stakeholders, which can include the support staff, environmental and political pressure groups, also the general public can be specified as indirect stakeholders. (Albert Lester, 2003).
The purpose of analysing the stakeholders is to identify stakeholders within a project or activity and be able to conduct appropriate approach and potential cooperation model with each identified stakeholder based on their importance and influence for the project/activity.
