I think people are forgetting the fact that you don't have to do remakes or adaptations.. "oh Nolan's Odyssey changed Odysseus' entire fucking personality to make it more palatable to a western audience!!" then dont adapt the Odyssey. if you're not gonna keep true to the themes and major characteristics of the source material then make your own original story oh my god.
