The end of the school week meant it was time to return home for the weekend. She didn’t mind it all too much that she was missing the optional classes and clubs—she was needed back home and home she will go. After waving goodbyes, sending texts, and making sure everything was in order to the best of her abilities, it was time to go.
She had nearly missed her train, yikes. Yako leaned back in her seat once she was settled and shut her eyes to try and relax. It wasn’t that she was tired, she thought, she just needed to rest her eyes and focus on not breathing so heavy from all that running she did to make it on time. That was it, yeah.
Before long she drifted off into a light slumber, ignorant to the passengers that continued to pour in and take up seats. Usually no one cared to bother and sit beside her grungy-looking self unless it was a lest resort, and today was no exception. Not like she cared. Although company was nice.
It just so happened today was a busy day, and someone did end up sitting beside her as she continued to doze. When the train finally began to move she was jostled into his side which she leaned into for a hot minute before rousing awake.
“Woah, sorry there. Ya weren’t there when I nodded off.” she mumbled, sitting back up and rubbing at her eyes, “I didn’ drool or nothin’, did I? I can make it up t’ya…. I have some rice crackers here somewhere, th’spicy kind… or somethin’ else… m’sure...”
She’s totally still half asleep.
