Yesterday's Standby Itinerary
-2:30 AM: leave the Electric Pickle in Miami. -3:00 AM: get back to apartment on Miami beach to shower. -4:15 AM: arrive at Miami international airport. -6:40 AM: get bumped off first flight (although luggage is already en route to Newark). -7:00 AM: fall asleep on floor. -11:30 AM: get bumped off second flight. -12 Noon: take bus, to train, to shuttle to reach Fort Lauderdale Airport. -2:46 PM: get bumped off third flight. -3:00 PM: scolded by parents for carelessness. -3:15 PM: Reevaluation of choices. -4:30 get bumped off connect flight to Chicago. -4:45 PM: Self-loathing. -5:00 PM: end up buying a ticket anyway to get home.
I swear to every deity ever prayed to by mankind that if I cannot get to Wisconsin on Thursday because of thunderstorms in Philly, I don't even know what. But there will be wrath.
So if my flight tomorrow is completely oversold (like it's appearing on the flight listing), I'll be stuck in Athens possibly another night!
