AFM: Describe a day working for Book of Mormon: SWM: I currently have a torn meniscus so I wake up and do about an hour of physical therapy. I then will get on Facebook, my connection to the outside world. I go to the gym depending on what town we are in and I like to check out local sights and scenes. Recently in Tulsa I went to a historic exhibit on the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot at The Historical Museum. From the moment you wake up you start getting in the right mental state to later perform. I show up early to the theater and make a concoction for the cast, especially around this time of year when colds are prevalent. I do some warm up exercises and get ready for our performance. Then after the show I get a snack and go to sleep and do it all over again.
AFM: Have you met the creators? SWM: Absolutely. They are great and I totally get what they are doing with this. Trey and Matt come out a couple times a year, especially when we have new cast members to ensure the integrity of the show.

People can attach fame to you and it has nothing to do with you, but to be successful is something that you work hard for and people don’t necessarily see. But, if you’ve been working at it and honing your craft from the beginning, then you’ll know when you’re successful at it.

[Mafala is] probably someone who has been educated and probably has even left Uganda and come back, so he has a broader understanding of the world. I think he has been exposed to Christianity, so the whole Mormon thing is not an easy sell for him, at first.
