I might not love how the A-listers were stripped of a lot of their redeeming qualities, but I do like how Star's friendship with Valerie remained. She's the least developed of them in the show itself, so letting her have this is great.

Meet The A-Lister Girls!💖
Meet my take on the A-Lister Trio, Paulina Sanchez💖, Star Anderson⭐️ and Valerie Gray🔻
When I was making the A-Lister Girls, my main focus was to make them look like modern popular girls. Radiate the energy such as mean girls and The Heather's! On top of the schools social pyramid and food chain and showing it!
A while back when I asked a friend @wsoupofpain on what she thought of some of my redesigns(which included Paulina and Val, this before I made Star) she pointed out their color schemes are very monochrome(using mainly one color), showing they're from the same group(A-Listers)! To be completely honest I didn't realize until that was pointed out but I'm glad I designed them that way and it made me consider a lot more when making Star.
A-Lister Similarities:
Monochromatic colors along with white and gold accents to show off dazzle✨️💎
Flashy and feminine fashion✨️👗
Fairly long hair. It's not really a requirement to be an A-Lister, but usually they're sporting long hair.
Accesories(usually golden colored). Necklace, braceket, earrings etc.
White shoes, with perhaps some colored accents.
A little triangle cut on their bottom wear.
Wearing necklaces that has their names(Paulina and Val having their first initials, Star wearing a literal star).
Makeup and nail polish💄💅
Paulina out of them all is def the flashiest as she's the Queen Bee and dresses up to that. Wearing vibrant, strong pinks with the only contrast being her white boots and golden accesories. She makes sure the spotlights on her the most!
Star, while not as flashy, shares a lot of her style and tastes. Such as similar hooped bracelets, shiny hair and exposed bra strap. She even has a beauty mark like her!
Valerie on the other hand, her fashions def more relaxed and casual, more on the sporty side compared to them and unlike their shirts, her bra strap isn't exposed, she also doesn't bare the slight midriff they have.
She wears not just yellow, but also orange, and even a bit of purplish pink for her lips and nail polish(to show her once being friends with Paulina).
Her accesories are also not as dangly, sporting small hoops, studs, a smart watch and on the other hand, wearing two scrunchies as to not interfere with her activities.
Instead of flats or heeled shoes, she wears sports sneakers with yellow and gray colors.
Doesn't have bangs, rather she wears a bandana as to keep her hair out of her face and sporting scruchies for when she'd want to put her hair back more.
She's also not wearing eyeshadow like they are.
Shows while Val has accustomed her fashion to fit with the A-lister's aesthetic by keeping with certain colors and looking flashy, she also hasn't fully conformed into the specific style Star and especially Paulina have. A subtle foreshadow of her eventually no longer being an A-Lister.
What do u think? How would u design the A-Listers? I'd love to know💖
If you could have given more episodes to develop the A-listers (Dash, Paulina, Kwan, Star, kinda-sorta Valerie), would you have, or do you think they're fine as mostly kinda shallow characters? Dash is probably the most developed, even if a lot of his character is “emasculating” traits given to him to humiliate him. Paulina gets some hints of insecurity but not much. Kwan is the “nice” A-Lister but still a bully, and Star… exists. And Valerie only counts as an A-Lister in the beginning but she's also underutilized.
I have a lot of thoughts about them, actually. More now that I've read Fair Game and can see how they're being handled by the new creator. One of those things I can say I just straight up don't like about Gabriela Epstein's take on the characters, with the exception of Valerie. Kwan and Paulina are especially being done so dirty. Paulina in particular irritates me bc she had so much potential. I'll talk about that more in my review, though.
To answer your question, I've done analyses for Kwan, Star, and Paulina that go over some of the ideas I have for them. Dash will be its own post once we get to Micro Management. Short version, Kwan's character in the original was a guy who's generally calm and mild mannered, but gets roped into the antics of Dash and the other jocks without seeming to really understand how harmful it is. Star is definitely a bitch to most people, but has a few people she likes and is actually smart and loyal underneath all that. She's the only one who remained friends with Valerie after she lost her popular status. Paulina cares a lot about her image, to an unhealthy degree, but is clearly not incapable of forming her own opinions considering she had a crush on Danny Phantom even when everyone thought he was evil.
If I had my way, Kwan would have an arc where he learns to embrace his softer side and recognize that the way he and the jocks treat the outcasts is way worse than just harmless fun. Star's friendship with Valerie would be expanded on, and she'd be allowed to have a bit more character to her, maybe some hobbies or dreams for the future (I like the idea of her running the school newspaper and keeping up on all the gossip). Paulina's crush on Danny Phantom would be taken a bit more seriously and allow her to evaluate what really matters to her more, status and being accepted or her own feelings and what she knows is right. Plus, Sam and Paulina coming to an understanding is something I've wanted for years. Parental Bonding opened a discussion about Sam's tendency to judge girls that are more stereotypically feminine than her, but wasn't able to follow through since Sam had her pegged from day one.
Dash is his own conversation entirely, partly because he's the most developed and also just. Objectively the worst person in the group. And Valerie? Well, I've given some thoughts about her already, and I'm far from done. I have a lot of thoughts about Valerie, and Fair Game certainly added some interesting things to the discussion.
Any reason why you think Star still hung out with Valerie even after she lost her money? And do you think the other A-listers like Dash, Paulina, and Kwan ever give Star a hard time for still associating with the unpopular Valerie?
I've talked about this before, but my headcanon is that Star just doesn't give as much of a fuck as the other A-Listers. She likes who she likes, and she won't be told what to do. I think the real reason is that the writers wanted to give Val a friend to talk to, but I like the headcanon that Star just genuinely liked her and didn't care that she was technically "unpopular."
As for why no one gave her a hard time, I like to think Star is one of the only people Paulina genuinely likes, and when Paulina likes someone, that seems to cancel out any other opinions. Danny got instant popularity when it seemed like Paulina liked him, and even Dash couldn't argue. I like any headcanon that gives the A-Listers more depth, so Star and Paulina having a genuine friendship works well for me.
Meet Star⭐️
Meet my take on the A Lister’s second but just as memorable popular girl to Paulina and her BFF, Star Anderson!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Star Redesign Discussion⭐️
I made a redesign for Paulina's Bestie and Second A Lister gal, Star. I'm a huge fan of her color scheme though I wanted to try a different take with her style. Leaning more into modern popular girl, similar to Paulina's style but not entirely, still having her own dinstict style. I def wanted to give off Sasser vibes.
Gave her a shaved side.
Went with OG's color scheme but pushing slightly to more coral colors. Show how she's Paulina(Pink) and Val's(red) friend.💖♥️
Replaced her shirt with a crop top with the words "Diva" rather than the 9. Also a little exposed bra strap.
Switched her pants for longer stirrup leggings with light coral shorts over them.
Gave her a cute golden star charm necklace⭐️ Val and Paulina have bracelets with their first initial and for Star, I went with the symbol!
Gave her bracelets. One side, golden hoops, other beaded bracelet.
Gave her earrings. A hoop and 2 white studs, similar to Val's.
Gave her lighter lipstick.
Added dark coral eyeshadow.
Changed her lashes to a sharper lash.
Gave her nail polish.
Made her eyes a darker green and removed her pupils💚
Gave her a beauty mark.
Made her eyebrows blonde.
Added dark coral platforming on her flats.
Removed her flower 🌼
Gave her a beauty mark beside her right cheek. My Paulina also has a beauty mark by her left cheek.
What do u think? How would u redesign Star? I'd love to know💖
Well, I did say I’d talk about the background characters at some point. I’ve gathered hundreds of screenshots for these posts, but I figured I’d start somewhere easy. The background characters surrounding Star.
The fact that these rumors are a thing at all at this point is hilarious. I’m gonna blame Star. Just add Wes and it’d be perfect.
