Star-Spawn 《星の落とし子》

This is a different type of star spawn evident by the shape of the egg shell. Unlike its more adventurous cousins, these eldritch hatchlings tend to gather in clusters around the opening of the cavern. Rather than hunt for their food they wait until some poor insect wanders their way.

Their green shells provide a bit of camouflage along with protection. While they tend to keep close to the cave opening, they are known to wander up to a mile. They run the risk of becoming prey to birds that will smash their shells against the rock. However, it doesn’t always end well for the bird.
