So I'm listening to Huntress. I cannot express enough how much I love Jill and the band in general, and on the dawn of a new year and a fourth Huntress album, I have to say I'm more excited than ever for their future.

The band has been through a lot with lineup changes, physical and mental illness, and fairly different sounds and themes with each album, but they fought through and have released some stellar metal. From Spell Eater, about the occult and pagan and witch themes, to Starbound Beast, about the cosmos and other dimensions and a fantastic song given to Jill from Lemmy Kilmeister, and finally to Static, about Jill's struggles with mental illness, they have quite a collection of songs with another album, currently hinted at being about spirituality and the Goddess Kali, to release next year.

Personally, I can't think of a song I don't like from any of these albums, with Spell Eater being my favorite. If you're interested in metal, they're a more traditional metal band and I would suggest them to just about anyone.

No, they're not paying me. I wish they would just come back to the Bay Area, but alas. I'm just a big fan and I'm really high and focused.
