it's been a while since I built anything, so I decided to start off simple with a small island Hylotl house, inspired by this image from Law Chang.

It's next to the original construction on Polis II, and will serve as a bridge between that build and one I'm planning on the other side.

Threw together this fun little build the other day, it's got some of my favorite building techniques such as blockbuilt furniture, mixing glass with sloped glass to make it look broken, and way too much paint

Bioluminescent Lab

When Aliya told me about some research she'd read into improving the light stim by studying wispers, I knew this was an opportunity for her to get off the ship and talk shop with fellow scientists. She was a little hesitant to go at first, but once I'd made the arrangements, I could tell she was excited.

Once we got down there, she was well away - discussing proteins and synthesis and gene theories. For my part, I was just happy to watch the wispers in their enclosure, for once able to enjoy their beautiful light without them trying to kill me.

Still in the vein of giving myself inspiration for my kidnapping fic, this is a Wren Class spaceship used to rescue the kidnappee.

Space Dive Bar

I built this to inspire myself & give myself something to refer to for a fic I'm working on, in which one of Mio's crew is kidnapped from this very bar.

I used the mod Disable Tile Protection on Space Stations to change the outside supports from the generic hull panels to something more appropriate and met with some interesting issues. For example, the right upper hull block cannot be removed and the lower right can't match the left. It's a good mod though - I think this build would have looked bad with the hull panels.

While on a tour of the frozen, underground research lab I stumbled upon, I came across this scientist. It explained to me it was a botanist and deeply interested with the diodia plants which grew on the surface. Its primary point of research was to create a disease and pest resistant version of the vegetable and sneak it into glitch villages to help them.

But, it went on, its secondary 'research' was the perfect bottle of Pozest. Apparently, its colleagues didn't mind it taking time away from its 'real' research, as they benefited from receipt of those bottles deemed not perfect.
