Did Violet ever meet her grandmother? Or did Moon pass away before they could meet? I remember a lot of the queens in the show passed away before they could see their grandkids.
Moon, shockingly, is still alive!
She was very close with Violet especially after seeing just how cold Star was to her over something that wasn’t her fault.
However, Moon tried to teach Violet how to use magic, something that every Queen has done with their daughters at some point.
But Star flew into a rage about it, saying Violet didn’t ’deserve’ to learn, that she should figure it out herself if she really wanted to learn like Star had to after Moon sent her to Earth.
It caused this huge argument, an argument that had been in the making for a long time. It wasn’t just teaching Violet magic that caused it, but it was Star’s belief that Moon cared more about Violet’s studies in magic than Star when she was Violet’s age (which. Somewhat true).
Moon defended herself, but Star told her she isn’t to teach Violet magic if she wanted to keep seeing her.
So Moon didn’t really have a choice in the matter. At least she can still see her…

Yes, indeed. This drawing is literally a year old. I was going to post it last year for Mermay but then I forgot, and then didn’t post in in June for some reason... or July... or August...
But I’m posting it now!
I’m making a post about Ophelia’s AU, which I will post at some point. In the mean time, here is the original caption I wrote:
Happy MerMay everyone! Since it’s MerMay, I thought it would be the perfect time to introduce another character in my svtfoe au. The mermaid is Alice Kelpbottom, daughter of King Larry Kelpbottom. She has a younger twin brother named Henry, who will inherit the throne.
Alice and Ophelia (Star and Marco’s daughter, pictured above) had crushes on each other as little kids. However, due to Ophelia’s kingdom having an incredible hatred for monsters, Ophelia was never allowed to pursue her feelings. The drawing above is a hypothetical scenario of the future if they were in a relationship (and hey, I still haven’t finalized my story idea yet, so there’s still a chance!)
Also I just want to note: I know Alice shares similarities with Emily in the Book of Spells (mermaids in relationships with Butterflies) but I had her concept created before I read the book.
