The Owl House S2 Ep. 19: O Titan, Where Art Thou
The rollercoaster doesn’t stop as we finally circle back around to King, Luz and Hooty meeting back up with Eda and Lily. And this one really is all about Eda and King. Here we find what Eda’s character arc has been building to the entire series. Eda had slowly become more of a parental figure since meeting Luz. What was once a reckless witch who threw caution to the wind is now a responsible woman who wants only to protect her children. This leads her to make the decision to try to get them as far away from the danger as possible. And tried to do it behind Luz’s back.
The fight in the warehouse between Luz and Eda is terrific to watch but also heartbreaking. Luz uses every trick she has to get away from the owl lady but unfortunately Eda has the upper hand. A couple of noteworthy scenes is Eda commanding Owlbert to change back to pet form as Luz tries to ride away from him. Along with Luz turning invisible only for Eda to use her heightened beast hearing to hear her footsteps. It’s a wonderful scene ending in sadness. Watching Eda break down as she finally admits that they have no plan is painful. And seeing the great Owl Lady being thrown into the back of a cart with little resistance while Luz begs for her to fight back hurts even more.
In some sort of levity King’s plot is much more positive. The poor boy finally gets the chance to process what it means that he’s a Titan while walking around town. And as he takes his walk he runs into fan favorite Steve. Steve had originally popped up as one of Lily’s faithful stooges and was probably meant to be a simple throwaway character. But by the second season he got to be a minor character occasionally appearing here and there. And here he finally gets some focus as he takes King on a motorcycle trip around the isles in a fun and adorable montage. By the end we even get to see his face without the scout mask by the end!
The two of them share a moment of rediscovery as they talk about what they want in life. King wanted to be powerful and Steve wanted to be in the Emperor’s Coven. Both got what they wanted but now it’s not what they desire. And they come to the conclusion that it’s completely fine. People change and desires change. An honestly great takeaway as I sit and wonder about my own desires in life. And I’d imagine it’s a great lesson for others to hear as well.
Thankfully by the end of the episode everything turns out fine. Eda getting ahold of Raine allowed them to pull some strings and rescue Eda and Luz. They bring the group into the conspiracy to stop the Day of Unity and we end the episode with a great moment with Eda teaching Luz how to make her own Palisman. A nice calm before the storm.
I’d also like to add that watching Lily freak out over King being a Titan was kind of funny. That said it was disappointing but expected to see her slip into old habits with trying to be subservient to anyone with power. Thankfully they put an end to that as soon as possible. In the end, this episode is well needed before the climax as we inch closer to the finale.

Gravity falls came first with modern day owl house and Amphibia being next in the timeline (with Amphibia apparently being slightly before) and Star vs. The forces of evil is the last in the timeline.
Also, Alex Hirsch, Dana Terrance, Matt braly, Nefcy are just a bunch of gnomes in a trench coat pretending to be different people at any given time.
I'll release more details later.
