Day 1: Culture
America always easily said "I love you". That phrase, to him, was simply a phrase to express your sincerity to anyone that was considered as his dearest. No formal or weight was carried in those three simple words.
"Em... yêu anh..."
It was different, somehow, to Vietnam. When she dared to say it to someone, she really meant it, with all her love and endearment. America said it a lot but she didn't. "It carries such weight", she plainly told him. These three words might not ever been heard for anybody except the one she directed to. These three word might be the most essential thing for a Vietnamese women like her. Because of that, she didn't want to overuse the phrase.
"You should say it more, Viet."
She slightly hit him and form an unpleasant look. Vietnam was blushing, though she would never admit it.
"It would change its meaning if I do that, you idiot."
"But it's still "I love you"."
"... Well, please admit the differences in cultures, America..."
"But I still get you to say it for me right~?"
With that kind of tone, Viet finally gave in.
"Okay then... em... yêu anh..."
(( Phew, finish~ I hope it will be acceptable at least because English is not my mother tongue, not to mention writing in English has never been my strenghth... Anw, hope all AmViet shippers will enjoy it and please tell me if there's any grammar/spelling mistakes. Thank you. ))
