To be honest, I haven't been reading that much fic lately so I may not be the best person to ask, but I'll give it a go :)

People who I am clicking the link before asking any questions about the fic:

anxious_tofu (@anxioustofu) - she has some really great one-shots. So many of them are just fun. Mostly perpollo adjacent.

mrthology (@mrthology) - I've loved her fics from when I first started reading in the fandom. You can't go wrong with the sea fam, the outsider POV, and she's my favorite percabeth writer for sure. She's recently started writing for perpollo and perpollobeth and let me tell you, I could NOT be happier with this decision.

stardustupinlights (@stardustupinlights) - literally the person who got me to start writing fanfic for PJO. Queen of perpollo. as if you were a mythical thing is incredible and I was genuinely obsessed with it for a while. She has a wide variety of one-shots and multi-chapter fics, ranging from God!Percy to her take on a high school AU (which is the only high school AU I've read in my life).

Specific fics I can't Not mention:

I love the Imperator series by combattombat so much. One of the few fics I've searched out to reread. And believe it or not, I actually didn't read this until after outlining the emperor AU because someone mentioned it to me. Very different vibes. But. Good. It's Preyna, but honestly the ship is like the least important thing here.

Nothing Is Ever Set In Stone by fanamaniac is another series I ADORE.

37) What’s the funniest story you’ve written? 

Honestly, I don’t know... Like I do insert humor here and there in a lot of my stories, especially when it’s needed or when it feels natural to include it in. Most of my fics are fluff, slice of life, with a drop of angst and feels at times, and I would include funny dialogues to light up the mood or so. I suppose every time I write scenes with Ai turns out funny, because he’s so fun to write. He’s such a little shit and I love it when he teases Ryoken or Yusaku.

43) Has anyone ever guessed the plot twist of one of your fics before you posted it? 

Hmm... Yeah, probably a more than twice... I’ve written fanfics way, way back, and when I was just starting, most of my plots were indeed predictable and often cliche. It’s kinda fun to see readers guess and predict what’s going to happen. And when they get it right, I just become giddy and more excited.  (((o(*°▽°*)o)))

48) What’s your favourite trope to write?

I got labeled as a FLUFF MONSTER for a reason XD. So, yeah, fluff is my thing, along with romance and drama. And then there’s the occasional cup of angst. I’m still challenging myself to write smut (nothing hardcore though). It’s out of my comfort zone, but I love it! and @stardustupinlights had been giving me the push and motivation to do it! Seriously, Del-san, you are such a treat! And we often discuss our stories.I love how we inspire each other!   ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ

I can never get tired of you

Percy's not sure how it happened, but at some point monthly cabin seven family dinners in the Jackson-Blofis apartment became routine. Turns out there's a loophole in the laws, and no one can really be blamed if Apollo just so happens to show up where his children are gathered.

His mom likes the excuse to bring out the old family recipes she's never figured out how to make smaller portions of, and Apollo and his kids are happy to spend time together. If it's gotten to the point that both his and his mom's heads turn when they call out for "Mom," that's no one's business but his own.

And it's Will's gleam in his eyes as he said "Bye Mom" as he shut the door that lingers.

Apollo notices, the observant fuck. "What's wrong?"

Percy sighs. He knows what's wrong, but it's not something he think he can tell Apollo, not when it hangs between them so obviously. "Nothing."

"It's not nothing." Apollo rolls over him, hands on either side of his head. And just like every other time Percy's had Apollo's warm weight on him, he relaxes more than he thought he could. "It's bothering you."

Apollo's eyes are the sky at sunset with the blue meeting gold and the twinkle of emerging stars, and staring in them feels like standing on the edge of eternity.

"I have you," Percy says. Because he knows he does. Apollo's intense, obsessive in a way only a God can be. "But for how long?"

Because the other thing he knows, after Annabeth's insistence, is that Apollo's love-life is a long list of tragedies.

Apollo frowns, a line forming dead center between his perfect brows. "As long as you'll have me," he says. "It certainly won't be me getting tired of you, baby."

"You say that, but how can you know?"

Apollo presses a soft kiss to the tip of his knows. "Because if there's one thing I can be sure about, it's you."

"do you remember when we first met?" in the context of perpollo reincarnation au 😊

Percy blinks familiar eyes open and all of a sudden, Apollo can't stop the words from pouring out, from ruining everything.

"Do you remember when we first me?" he asks, stroking his finger along Percy's cheek. "It's okay if you don't."

"At the solstice?" Percy frowns and his brows furrow together. Apollo reaches up to smooth them out. "Or do you mean when you took us back to camp?"

"No," Apollo sighs. "I mean the first time."

Percy's frown deepens and Apollo's very soul aches.

"Thousands of years ago," Apollo says, because it's too late to back out now. Below him, Percy tenses. "Before Hyacinthus, before Daphne or Commodus or any other name a scholar might recognize."

"I don't," Percy admits. His eyes are wide and shining with unshed tears and Apollo knows he gets it. "I'm so sorry."

Apollo leans down to press a kiss to Percy's forehead. "Don't be sorry, it's not your fault."

"Than who's is it?" Percy asks, ls if there's an answer to the question. "Why are you telling me this?"

And suddenly Apollo realizes this might be their end, right here and right now. Panic unlike anything he's known before is fighting to rise in his chest, but he's pushing it down because he can't let it show.

"Because I love you," Apollo whispers, voice breaking on the words. "I've always loved you, and I'll always love you."

Percy is shaking his head and pushing away. "Does that mean this is all meaningless then?" he asks. He shifts so he's kneeling, able to stare down at Apollo just a little. "That nothing you felt for me was real?!"

Apollo wants to scream. He gets it, sure. But he's never wanted anything more than Percy and how is he supposed to let this moment pass him by? Centuries ago he'd have surged forward, pushed Percy to the ground until Percy understand who he was rejecting.

But he's trying to be better. And this is Percy. Hyacinthus, Daphne, Commodus, Coronis, and Cyrene. And Apollo has always been so very weak.

"It's always been real," Apollo whispers.

He extends his hand out to Percy's but lets the distance remain. He's never seen those eyes so cruelly turned to him. It hurts more than he thought it would.

Percy stares at him, gaze never lightening.

Moments pass. Exactly 27 of them.

And then Percy grabs his hand.

Percy should probably be at home right now, tucked in his bed and dead asleep. But he's not. Instead he's kneeling in the center of Apollo's temple on temple hill, his hands folded in his lap as he stares up at a statue that hasn't quite captured Apollo's likeness.

He doesn't know why he's here. Except he does. He wants Apollo's attention, wants those blue-golden eyes fixated on him. He wants to know what Apollo feels like, wants to know if Apollo feels as hot as he looks. Percy wants nothing more than to feel Apollo's hands tangled in his hair and around his throat.

It should be too much to ask for, but Percy's never been too good at following the rules when it comes to the Gods.

"Apollo," he says. "I know you're watching." He doesn't, but he can pretend. "I am, well. I guess I'm presenting myself as an offering. Please accept it."

Another thing Percy should be right now is sober, but sometimes Piper's fruity cocktails hit too hard and the edibles Will snuck in didn't help anything.

"Please," he repeats.

Thankfully, or maybe not, he's not left alone for long. One moment he's kneeling before an altar and the next he's kneeling before a perfect, blond god.

"Perseus," Apollo says, tilting his head to the side. He looks everything like a buyer pursuing their wares. "This is...unexpected."

Percy wants to whine. He wants to lean his head back and have Apollo take control so he doesn't have to think. But he's gotten this far. He can push more. He can.

"Apollo," he breathes out. The amount of desire and sheer want he's managed the infuse the syllables with should embarrass him, but he can't care, not with how Apollo's eyes darken. "Please."

"Please, what?" Apollo asks.

"Anything," Percy says. "Please, just. Whatever you want."

Apollo visibly swallows, and Percy feels like a King despite being on his knees. "Whatever you want," he says. "It's yours."

"Are you sure about this?" Apollo asks, bending down. He's not touching Percy, not yet. But his fingers are twitching, and Percy counts that as a victory. "I won't give you up. The only escape you'll have is death. And I won't give you even that without a fight."

Percy nods. "I'm sure," he says. It's crazy, but nothing has ever felt more right. "I'm yours."

Apollo pushes his hair back, and Percy almost cries. "I"ll take such good care of you, Perseus."
