I'm mad that they plagiarized some works and I hope they can rewrite the first chapter and make it original.

You know what’s weird to me is that, instead of answering any accusations of plagiarism that were most definitely in her inbox, that person decided to post publicly the most heinous anon hate she got instead. That’s manipulative, sorry. She got one over on you.

This person can’t and didn’t prove someone came to her blog on manika’s behalf to harass her. Yet she brings it up in her “apology” anyway to dilute the point that manika’s accusations about her plagiarizing were right.

So many people involved in this got some rando in their inbox spitting vile things behind anonymity, just fyi. Including the authors who were stolen from. Anonymous asks hold such little weight when it could be any arbitrary lurker looking for entertainment.

And that’s it to me. It was more than likely some inconsequential little shit who saw an opportunity to stir the pot and cause extra drama for fun. But we don’t know that for a fact.

What we do know for a fact is that Doll is a liar 💁‍♀️

People can change, and take accountability, but no one has to like someone else, and people will simply not care about things. There's no use in shaming someone off the internet for something they apologized for. Others have done less, we already saw that drama on this site. I don’t know who you are so I can’t say ily back but I do disagree with you about her apologizing. It didn’t feel like she was sorry to me. The fact that she is continuing to post her fanfic she stole ideas from and built her following off of is wild to me. And it’s also weird people are just taking her word on it? Honestly, I commented because I feel like no one is saying anything. This is a really egregious thing she did and no one is really saying telling her that out of fear of being called “mean” or something maybe? Idk. Anyway I really just wanted to say my thoughts as the majority reaction to this has been really disappointing to me. I won’t say too much else on it. I am reposting the kinktober prompt list I made with a different tag because a group of people are threatening to co-opt the tag I originally used to post their works without proper tagging. I don't care in the end what your work includes, all I ask is people tag properly.

I wanted to provide an alternate and inclusive space to explore a real kinktober experience where people could explore new kinks safely or challenge themselves and I could even include people on the ace/aro spectrum. But someone intent on harassing me has, with their online circle, been bombarding me with bizarre accusations and threats that basically undermine the entire point of me making the alternate list. Listen, I'm sorry I initially retweeted your faceless gimmick account a month ago and called your kinktober prompt list shitty (read: heteronormative), but get a fucking grip. I don't know who you are and I don't care to know anymore. Stop associating with me.

In the end it's important that everyone participating set their own boundaries and protect themselves, whatever that entails. And just don't fucking harass people for fuck's sake

hard agree with you. As glad as i am tho that doll FINALLY FUCKING SAID SOMETHING after what? 3 days into the discourse? It's still disheartening how quickly people are just dismissing the heart ache the original authors got and are going to continue supporting stolen work even if they are deleted. However, she was quick to delete the stories AFTER the accusations started pouring in. If manika hadn't been brought the evidence and shed to light things, doll would have still paraded her stolen fics- FROM HER OWN FRIENDS- and ppl for some reason cant comprehend that???? like its only a "mistake" because she got slapped on the wrist. The stolen stories have been up for MONTHS, that shit got taken down after someone called out her thieving ass. And HWE is STILL going to be uploaded which is an even bigger insult. in my PERSONAL opinion (dont gotta agree) she should delete it and start it from scratch. If the rest of the stories TRULY are her own, then she can 100% do it. idc personally that HWE is almost done, Venus has been working on Something Permanent for 2 years (ironic bc doll on her RE days was even a beta reader :/) but yeah just really ashamed of the LADS community.

I’m done with people reposting art without permission, I’m done with people proven to be plagiarists, I’m done with people posting AI role plays without disclosing them, I’m done with the way people have been treating creatives with no respect in fandom and not holding others accountable. This is just in general now, but I will probably stop answering anons about this because I’m feeling pretty bleak about it at this point and don’t wanna keep rehashing the same bs on people’s feeds. Thank you! I agree with you so so much. The fact that half of her "apology" was pointing fingers at manika and anons is sure something. I'm absolutely flabbergasted that people are like "aww oh noey u did something wrong but that's okay bc u apologized" like????? Are we allowing thieves now in this fandom? I'm in many fandoms and this is the first time where someone (who admitted to stealing) is allowed to continue. Not only that but the sheer audacity she has to keep that fic even though it was built on plagiarism is insane.

I agree with you. I think she should lose support over this. It’s such a weird approach people are having to all of this. People are saying “it was resolved positively,” how?? One of the OG authors deleted their blog and other people were really hurt by this and bullied into silence. I guess for me plagiarism is really seriously fucked up thing to do. It wasn’t her “making a mistake,” it was her continuously choosing to do something she knew was wrong and only stopping when she got caught. She betrayed and lied to her readers too, how are y’all not rightfully upset by this?
