Injury (Stardate: Unknown) (Lt. Alenis + Lt. Pariah) (Closed)
The high pressure boilers that heated the Normandy's water were one of the most dangerous environments to be in the ship. Lt. Daniel Pariah had been making adjustments to a steam pump at the bottom of one of them, fitting a new valve to the pipe. He was quite happy working in the steam and heat, so when a seal burst he was more than a bit surprised.
"AHHHHHHHHRRRRRGGGGG" he squealed as the scolding gas erupted at him, knocking him backwards over 10 meters. With in seconds the pump shut off and steam flow cut out.
Pariah sat in shock at his leg. There was two feet of metal bar sticking through above the knee joint and his skin was blistering from the heat. He crawled agonisingly over to his PADD and called for help.
