Finished Object Friday
hahaha this is a scheduled post because I will be AT THE SHEEP AND WOOL (or dead tired from it) when it is actually friday, so I am writing this in the advance! a winner is me! etc.
anyway, my lovely wife has been pointing out, increasingly desperately, that I should post the fucking finished stargan, so:
Behold! an stargan:
One corner ended up a bit wonky, and also I lost yarn chicken and had to do a round of orange instead of finishing on red, but: it is finished! ends wove in and all!
it's kinda wild how you can visibly see my stitches get better from the center out.
this little guy loves a shape, and this shape is officially goblin approved. It's all down here from now; nothing I make will ever produce this level of instant gratification.
It's WIP Wednesday, and for once I....remembered on wednesday!
(by which I mean my wife remembered. they have the braincell here, I'm just vibin.)
anyway; baby's first crochet, using the incredibly helpful tips @dofnup posted a while back (cheers for those!)
Tension's not great, and obviously there's some janky stiches, but for a first go it's turning out shockingly well, far as I'm concerned.
Kind of wild, honestly, how fast this is working up; this is like. a handful of nights work, and I'm sure i's even that much because I've been crocheting for approximately like. a month at most, and have made three practice pieces an inch or two wide and like, two or three long before just diving in to make a blanket in the round.
(also it's going to be a cat blanket, so like. I don't think he's going to give a fuck about a few wonky details.)
