Loving Stargate Made Me Brave
Anyone hear about the defective DVD on the original Stargate SG-1 season 7 boxset? I think it was one of The Lost City eps that completely froze. It wasn't all Region 1 boxsets, but certain shipments. As a young person who got incredibly anxious speaking to authority, I had my first (respectful) argument with a Wal-Mart employee and manager. I had bought the DVDs, took them home, and found out about the glitch. Per policy, they would only exchange open DVDs, but I explained their whole shipment was bad. They offered store credit. I said it wasn't fair because their product was defective. They finally relented. Went to Best Buy, found a different batch, and they tested it for me in the store. Made a friend. Boosted confidence. Watched an epic two-parter.
